QB / RB / WR / TE / OT / OG / OC / DE / DT / OLB / ILB / CB / FS / SS

OG Derek Dennis-Temple
Height: 6’3
Weight: 328 lbs.
Projection: Round 3-4
Grade: 6.4 (Grading Scale)

Strengths:
A very strong interior OL prospect…moves well for his size and has shown the ability to block in space…really does his damage when run blocking…does a good job getting a good pop off initial contact and maintains the engage through contact…has ideal size for the OG position…has played both LG and RG in his career…very impressive when asked to block in the short area…excellent trap, pull, and crack back blocker…does very well when asked to seal the edge on his pull as opposed to leading the rush…very strong punch that uses consistently…shows good placement and technique with his hands…finishes his blocks well, not afraid to maul his opponent and put him on the ground.

Weaknesses:
Lacks awareness on delayed blitz…will vacate zone too quickly when left with no one to block…saw some stiffness in his hips that doesn’t allow him to bend naturally… can become more of waist bender when blocking in space or on the move…can get caught over extended…Gets too high at times, especially when blocking on the move…doesn’t anchor as well as we would like…needs to learn better technique with his footwork and sinking his hips…can look uncoordinated at times when asked to pull and lead block on outside runs.
