OC David Molk Scouting Report

OC David Molk-Michigan
Height: 6’2
Weight: 285 lbs.
Projection: Round 5
Grade: 6.1 (Grading Scale)

Strengths:
Has developed into one of the top OC prospects in the nation over the last couple of years…uses his hands very effectively when in pass pro…anchors extremely well and is very strong in the lower body…athletic enough to get to second level and was able to lead Denard Robinson’s QB draw play and make key blocks to spring him…locates moving targets very well and is very good at picking up the mike blitzer…has a strong punch that he will deploy to neutralize a pass rusher…may have the best shotgun snap of any OC in this class…good velocity on the ball, and right on target…gets his head and hands  up quickly after the snap.

Weaknesses:
Undersized prospect who is a little shorter and a lot lighter than you want…needs to add some weight to his frame but not sure his frame can handle it…want to see him clean up his footwork some, against bigger DT’s in the NFL it could cause issues…doesn’t generate a lot of power to move people off the ball…the physical and technical skills are all there for Molk but the question is can he handle lining up across from a NT who he may give 2-3 inches and 40-50 pounds to?

Film Room Notes:
