QB / RB / WR / TE / OT / OG / OC / DE / DT / OLB / ILB / CB / FS / SS

Robert Griffin III
Height: 6’2
Weight: 220 lbs.
Projection: Top 10
Grade: 7.9 (Grading Scale)

Strengths:
Without question the most exciting QB in this class…possess elite level arm strength…he has a clean release that allows him to spin the ball well…Throws one of the best deep balls of any QB in the country…drops the ball into the bucket with uncanny consistency…no QB in the country has shown more growth over the course of their collegiate careers than Griffin…has world class speed…has loose hips in the open field that can make defenders miss…to give you an idea of his improvement his completion percentage jumped by 12.4% points from his freshman year to his junior…was just awarded the 2011 Heisman trophy…in short RGIII can do things that no other QB in this class can do.

Weaknesses:
Plays in a spread system that is not NFL caliber…relies on short passes or deep balls to pick up the majority of his yards…mostly utilizes throws along or near the sidelines to complete passes, does not working the middle of the field…need to see him display the same touch he has on his deep ball on throws into the intermediate zone…limited experience dropping back from center…does not climb the pocket as consistently as you’d like…needs to continue to learn that he doesn’t always need to take off…must continue to develop his ability to read progressions…must do a better job of protecting himself in the open field from taking big hits.

Film Room Notes:
Griffin v. Texas A&M
