OG Amini Silatolu Scouting Report

OG Amini Silatolu-Midwestern State

Height: 6’4

Weight: 320 lbs.

Grade: 6.5 P C (Grading Scale)

Draft Projection: Round 3

Strengths:

Played LT in college…has outstanding athleticism for a man his size…In the NFL, Silatolu will be asked to slide inside to guard…is a devastating open field blocker…locates well on the move and buries his man into the ground…aggressive blocker who plays with a mean streak, loves to finish his blocks…deliver the blow to the defenders…has a strong punch…Will get out in front of screen passes and outside runs to lead block…strong build that is well distributed…good footwork which allows him to stay balanced…anchors well v. the bull rush from the DE…once he locks out its all over for the defender.

Weaknesses:

Must answer the question about if he will be able to anchor down against 320+ lbs NT’s … has a tendency to pop up and get high off of contact…would over extend himself v. speed rushers when on the outside…will lunge at defenders in the open field…must work harder to become a more technically sound player…Coming up from the Division II level there will be questions about how he responds to the level of completion increase as well as working within a more complicated NFL style blocking scheme.
