RB Robert Turbin Scouting Report

RB Robert Turbin-Utah State

Height: 5’10

Weight: 216 lbs.

Grade: 6.2 (Grading Scale)

Projection: Round 4

Strengths:

Big, strong kid who runs with a good low pad level…very thick in the lower body, runs through arm tackles with ease…his footwork give him great balance and some wiggle, looks like a dancing bear at times…can get small in the hole and squirt through the line…picks his way through traffic surprisingly well for a man his size…wears down his opponents effectively…versatile back schematically speaking who could work in both a traditional offense or in a zone blocking scheme…good vision to pick his hole.

Weaknesses:

Has a good burst but questionable long speed…he can be caught from behind…struggles when the hole isn’t visible immediately…ball security…downhill runner who doesn’t offer much break tackle ability in the open field…he has the ability to catch passes but struggles at times to show the burst after the catch to immediately get up the field…Likely an in between the tackles work horse back in the NFL who will need to be used in a rotation with a speed back who can keep defenses honest and stop them from stacking the box.

Notes:

Turbin v. Ohio
