The Bills decided they needed to move up from 71st to 69th in order to select WR TJ Graham from NC State. The Bills paid the Washington Redskins their first 7th Round pick (#217) in order to move up to this spot.
Stats: 2011 – 46 Catches, 757 Yards, 7 TD, 44 KR, 986 Yards
Career-99 catches, 1453 Yards, 12 TD, 137 KR, 3,153 Yards, 2 TD
Well the Bills got a speedy WR who can probably play out of the slot. He has plenty of speed and will replace the often injured and now departed Roscoe Parrish. Graham has good hands but body catches the ball too often.
The Bills will need to find way to utilize his speed better likely on quick slants, fly routes, and corner routes. You have to play him inside because he’s not big enough to work through press coverage but if you can get him into space there will not be many people who can run with him.
This is not a good or even decent value pick based on our board. We certainly don’t like giving up picks to take Graham who nobody (that we are aware of) had as a 3rd Round grade. We can only hope he becomes a dynamic return man who can really work hard on his route running and polish to one day become a productive WR.
