OG Brandon Washington-Miami

Height: 6027

Weight: 320 lbs.

Grade: 6.8 (Grading Scale)

Strengths:

Washington has ideal size for the OG position both in terms of his height and girth…he has solid length with his arms and possesses a wide enough body that many rushers will have a tough time going around him…Showcases good flexibility that allows him the bend well, and adjust on the fly to rushers with good change of direction ability…Is a versatile prospect who projects to both OT and OG, we personally like him more at OG…Displays good footwork and does a good job staying balanced when shuffling his feet and sliding…Strong player at the point of attack who does a good job anchoring down…Athletic prospect who loves to finish off his blocks.

Weaknesses:

Washington still need to work on some of his technical weaknesses…What he has in athleticism and natural strength he lacks in fundamentals…He plays too high especially after initial contact, he gives up too much of his body…His punch still needs a lot of work in terms of how and when to deploy it, for a prospect with his strength his punch should be a tool that opposing DE’s fear as of now nobody fears it…Needs to make sure he works on staying with the DE through their counter move, got beat too often on film off a counter move that was set up by some of the veteran DE’s.
