Tarleton State OL Solomon Orr Interview

Solomon Orr is a big man, listed at 6’7, 375 lbs his stature alone is intimidating. Then you get to see him play and just eat up his opponents. Solomon, like CB Logan Kerr, was a recent invite to the 2012 BSN Collegiate Showcase where we were able to watch him play.

Solomon talked to us about the JUCO route for school and whether or not he was advise other HS seniors to take that route over going to the four years schools right away.

He mentioned the stigma that comes with playing D2 football but also talked about how fantastic the Lonestar Conference is and how tough it is to play there.

He told us a good bit about the mentality you have to have as an offensive lineman to know that on every snap that man across from you is looking to come over the line and tear your head off.

We watch Solomon Orr play in Akron and on tape and were impressed by his light feet and ability to move in space. He played a lot of OT in college and we would like to see him kick inside to OG where his brute strength can be utilized. He also has the ability to pull and lead block on outside runs and screen passes.
