Come back every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as I choose my five favorite Buffalo Bills and NFL Draft links to share. Feel free to submit your own links in the comments.
1 Thurman Thomas sees 10-11 wins in 2012 (via Press Coverage – The Buffalo News)
Buffalo Bills excitement isn’t limited to the fans or the media that have turned them into a chic playoff pick. Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas is pumped up, too. Thomas told Jamestown Post-Journal reporter Scott Kindberg this week the Bills should win double-digit games and will go to the postseason for the first time since he was on the roster.
2 Tim Graham sees Mario Williams as the AFC East’s 6th best player (via The Press Coverage – The Buffalo News)
The countdown of my top 25 AFC East players continues, one weekday at a time …The choice
Defensive end Mario Williams is a culture-changing player for the Buffalo Bills. He’s an elite pass-rusher who should help transform the Bills’ defense from perennial doormat status into respectability.
3 UGA WR Malcolm Mitchell to split his time between CB and WR (via Rotoworld & CBS Sports)
Georgia sophomore Malcolm Mitchell will split time “50-50″ between CB and WR in 2012.
Despite caching 45 passes for 665 yards last season, Mitchell was given a shot at cornerback this spring as an experiment.
After his dismissal from the Miami football team, senior S Ray-Ray Armstrong will likely transfer to an FCS level school.
Editor’s Note: Scouting Director Matthew Elder, identifies FCS teams Jackson State, Bethune-Cookman, and Stephen F. Austin all as good fits for a possible transfer down.
While TCU is gone and Boise State will soon follow, the Mountain West isn’t completely dead in terms of NFL level future talent. Boise State and Nevada are still the big boys of the conference (for at least one more year), but none of their juniors made my top in the Mountain West list.
