Prospect Preview: Little Ceasar Bowl

With Smith out for WKU the onus is on Andrew Jackson to make even more plays (Photo: US Presswire)

In the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl Game you have Central Michigan entering the game on a 3 game win streak going against Western Kentucky who has a 7-5 record and key wins over Kentucky and Arkansas State. This is should be a well contested game and expect Western Kentucky to be extra motivated considering this is there first ever bowl game trip.

This game should have been a great matchup for E.Fisher and Q.Smith but unfortunately Smith went down with an ACL tear. Still a lot of NFL scouts will be tuned into this game specifically for Fisher because he carries a first round grade but also because of W.Kentuckys TE J.Doyle and Fishers teammate SAF J.Addae. Both of who could present mid round steals

Central Michigan
SAF Jaheel Addae #4 5’11, 200 lbs.
Addea is just one of those players that seems to be a magnet for the football. He makes plays all over the field in every game you watch of his. At 5’11 200 pounds he also has good size for the position. He is equally as good in the run as he is in the pass. The Bills have one very good SAF in J.Byrd right now but Wilson is getting long in the tooth and Searcy hasn’t done enough to make a case to be the full time starter

OT Eric Fisher #79 6’8, 305 lbs.
Fisher is the classic LT in that he is an athletic big man that excels in pass blocking but still needs a little work in the run blocking department. At 6’8 300 pounds he has the frame to add weight but is a tad tall for the position, which hurts him in the leverage battle. Still the Bills should be interested in him because he can upgrade two positions at once. Fisher can be a day 1 starter at LT that would then move Glenn to the right side

QB Ryan Radcliff #8 6’3, 222 lbs.
RB Zurlon Tipton #34 6’1, 219 lbs.
WR Cody Wilson #11 5’10, 195 lbs.
OG Michael Repovz #67 6’4, 295 lbs.
OC Darren Keyton #65 6’3, 305 lbs.
CB Lorenzo White #2 6’0, 185 lbs.

Western Kentucky
TE Jack Doyle #82 6’6, 253 lbs.
Doyle is the classic zone busting TE that has a great feel for the soft spots in opposing defenses along with a consistent set of hands. He has a really high football IQ to go along with good pass and run blocking technique. The Bills have their starter at TE set for the immediate future but little to no depth behind him. Doyle could possible provide that as a mid round steal

QB Kawyan Jakes #6 6’3, 194 lbs.
RB Antonio Andrews #5 6’0, 211 lbs.*
OG Adam Smith #76 6’5, 325 lbs.
LB Andrew Jackson #4 6’1, 265 lbs.*
LB Xavius Boyd #6’2, 235 lbs.*

Prediction: I expect a motivated Western Kentucky team in their first bowl game to edge out a win 27-24 over Central Michigan
