As the 2013 NFL Draft came to a close last night so did my time as editor, writer, and scout for this site. In the last two years it has been one heck of a ride and I can say I leave this site knowing that it has become something I’m proud of. When James first approached me three summers ago with this crazy idea I have no clue if it would actually work, let alone morph into what is now nine team sites with more coming this summer. I owe James everything when it comes to my little piece of success and exposure.
It’s a sad day as I write this final post but its one that had to come, many of you have seen over the past two months the post count go down and the level of detailed not maintained. Its my fault I got a new job at the beginning of the year and couldn’t dedicate nearly enough time to the site. I was recently approached about doing more at my current job and its an opportunity I can’t turn down. That’s why I’m leaving.
I leave this site in the hands of its new chief editor Dan Hope. Dan is a fast rising up and comer in our industry having worked with both NEPatriotsDraft.com and Bleacher Report. He’s a phenomenal writer who is going to take this site to heights that I can’t even fathom. I’m very excited to see him take over.
In the end I’ll be around this fall, if you want to talk Bills or College Football you can do it the same way you always have and that’s on Twitter @Matthewcelder.
With that I’m officially handing in my site keys and my keyboard. I want to thank everybody who ever read the site (even the haters) and all those that commented, emailed, and tweeted our links out.
I thought for a long time about how I wanted to close out this post and what I wanted my final words to be and in the end nothing seemed more fitting than simply this…
