In case you haven’t heard, there was quite an interesting development during today’s Buffalo Bills game away from Ralph Wilson Stadium. Matt Flynn, last with the Oakland Raiders, was spotted on a flight heading to Buffalo. This wasn’t one of those Twitter stories that have no legs either. Two credible reporters spotted Flynn on their flight.
Chris Graff, a Minnesota Wild beat writer was on a flight to Buffalo when he noticed a familiar face on the flight. Graff tweeted:
Here at the Buffalo airport where Matt Flynn also just landed. Interview with the Bills?

Michael Russo, who also covers the Wild had a similar tweet:
@TBNbucky FYI, Matt Flynn was on my flight just now from Minny to Buffalo if that’s not out there

Buffalo obviously didn’t call Matt Flynn during the game, so it appears the team had a workout scheduled with the veteran quarterback before Buffalo’s 27-24 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Thad Lewis played very well against a tough defense and showed off an excellent deep ball. If healthy, Lewis should have the starting job cemented until E.J. Manuel is ready to return.
That said, Lewis was seen in a walking boot post-game and revealed that he has a foot sprain according to Sal Maiorana.
Thad Lewis just said he has a sprained foot, x-rays looked fine, so maybe he’ll be fine next week. If not, oh, let’s not think about it

Needless to say, the Bills quarterback situation just became a lot more interesting. Bills fans, should the team add Matt Flynn to their roster? Voice your opinions in the comment section!
UPDATE: Adam Schefter and Mike Rodak have confirmed that Flynn is in Buffalo for a workout.
