Expected to be a plug-and-play receiver when the Buffalo Bills drafted him with the No. 41 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Robert Woods had a strong rookie season and developed immediate chemistry with the team’s first-round pick, quarterback EJ Manuel. In his second season, in which he will take over for Stevie Johnson as the Bills’ slot receiver, he has a chance to be an impact player.

Kiko Alonso had a brilliant rookie season. His efforts didn’t go unnoticed, as the Buffalo Bills linebacker was named Defensive Rookie of the Year by the Pro Football Writers of America. Duke Williams didn’t play many snaps for the Buffalo Bills in 2013, but that number should rise significantly in 2014. With Jairus Byrd’s departure from Buffalo as a free agent this offseason, there is an opening in the lineup at safety alongside Aaron Williams. Da’Norris Searcy is pegged as the other starter, but Duke Williams is right behind him and could be in line for a much bigger role this season.

A candidate to get playing time at safety, or a candidate to be cut?

That’s the million dollar question with Jonathan Meeks. The Buffalo Bills’ fifth-round pick (No. 143 overall) in the 2013 NFL draft, Meeks didn’t make much of an impact in year one, and with plenty of competition at safety, his roster spot is far from guaranteed.
