With the first day of practices down at Texas v. Nation here are some notes on some of the individual players that impressed and some that didn’t. While many will be focused on players like Ray Ray Armstrong, and MarQuies Gray it was two rather unknown players who stood out on Day 1. With the Senior Bowl concluding it is now time for the NFL Draft silly season to take full effect. Up next is the NFL Combine for most prospects and then Pro Days, Team Visits, and finally the draft. The next 90  or so days are going to be the longest of their entire lives but in the end they all pray it all be worth it. Here are some quick thoughts about what the Senior Bowl taught us. (more…)

Prospect Preview: NFLPA Bowl

This game is in it’s second year and has made a few key changes this year. First off they no longer are allowing declared juniors to play in their game so for the first year the NFL will allow their scouts to attend. Secondly the game has paired with ESPN to both televise the game and also show four hours of practice coverage on Thursday January 17th. This will be the only game that will reportedly show any practice this week. The NFLPA Bowl has yet to release a full and complete roster so we will update this list with any late minute ads along with jersey numbers and teams once its released. (more…)

For as long as I’ve been watching football I’ve always looked forward to the all-star circuit and the East West Shrine Game particularly. It may not have the prestige of the Senior Bowl but its the 2nd longest running game and always brings in a lot of talent and puts on a good product. This year is no different as the Shrine Game features prospects from every level of NCAA Football and has some of the best offensive line prospects of any game in the all-star circuit.


Senior Bowl Watch List Release

In what was a surprising, and awesome, move the Senior Bowl recently announced that for the first time ever they would be releasing a watch list for their game. The Senior Bowl is considered the premier All-Star Game and is held annually in Mobile, AL. (more…)
