College football all-star game season is here, a time for the nation’s top senior prospects to catch the eyes of NFL scouts in a variety of showcase games, including Saturday’s Shrine Game (4 p.m. ET, NFL Network).

There are a plethora of intriguing prospects participating in the game.

My second day at the Texas vs The Nation game was much more interesting than the first. Instead of watching from the primary area of the press box, I moved over to an individual room where there was more action. Although the wind was horrific, it turned out to be a beautiful day for some football. While I watched, I had several interesting conversations with NFL scouts. (more…)

Senior Bowl week is usually one of the most exciting for scouts and football fans alike. It’s a great opportunity to see some of the best college football players battling against each other one on one. It’s a way to test the players from big schools and really see if the small school guys can step up in competition. For fans of teams, like the Bills, who are used to picking early in the draft it’s a great way to look at some players who might fit with your team. (more…)

The Casino Del Sol Game is in its 2nd technical year of existence but really it’s the third. It was originally called the Eastham Energy All-Star game but has since changed its name. The talent level this year has once again improved and includes a little international flavor. Last year the game had three draft picks and 61 other players invited into camp and after looking over this year’s roster I’d say both of those numbers should be on the rise. (more…)

Players All-Star Classic South Roster Preview

Yesterday we took a quick look at the North Roster and found 22 guys who we liked on that roster and today we have another 15 on the South Roster. This game has plenty of small school talent but also guys from bigger schools who should make some noise. It’s going to be an exciting game this year.
