The importance of having a solid center is trending up in the NFL. The 2014 NFL draft class has a few centers that can come in and start but like most center classes, it lacks overall depth. There are a number of quality, experienced prospects in this year’s draft that have moldable traits for teams looking to add a center.

2014 BCS National Championship Game Prospect Preview: Florida State vs. Auburn

As you would expect when the two best teams in college football play for a title, there will be no shortage of NFL talent on the field when Florida State (13-0) plays Auburn (12-1) in Monday’s BCS National Championship Game (8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN).

While Heisman Trophy-winning Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston is not eligible for the 2014 NFL draft as he is only a redshirt freshman, the case could be made that every player in Florida State’s starting lineup has NFL potential, many of whom are seniors or potential early-round picks if they declare.

Auburn does not have as much talent headed to the upcoming draft as the Seminoles do, but they have had a number of breakout stars this year whose draft stocks have soared as the Tigers have re-emerged as a championship contender.

After a tough matchup and nearly getting upset by Boston College, but ultimately winning 24-14, No. 3 Clemson will face No. 5 Florida State, who won their most recent game against Maryland on Oct. 5 by a 63-0 score, on a Saturday in a game likely to decide the winner of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Atlantic Division.

With both teams ranked in the top five of both major polls, a possible national title shot is at stake as well.

Both teams boast talented rosters filled with future NFL players, so scouts have their sights set on this game.
