Breaking Down the Buffalo Bills’ Options for Day 2 of the 2014 NFL Draft

After making a one of the biggest splashes of the first round in trading up to select Clemson WR Sammy Watkins, the Buffalo Bills enter Day 2 of the 2014 NFL draft set to select with the 41st and 73rd overall selections on Friday. Surprisingly, none of Buffalo’s 2014 draft picks were used in the move up to select Watkins.

Over the previous five drafts from 2009 to 2013, the Bills have had a great deal of success with their second-round picks, having selected Kiko Alonso, Robert Woods, Cordy Glenn, Aaron Williams, Jairus Byrd and Andy Levitre over that span. There is plenty of talent available that could help the Bills find another gem and fill needs with their Day 2 draft choices.

Takeaways from Buffalo Bills’ Pre-Draft Luncheon

The Buffalo Bills held their annual pre-draft luncheon on Friday. General manager Doug Whaley, director of player personnel Jim Monos, director of college scouting Kelvin Fisher and coordinator of college scouting Doug Majeski spent nearly an hour meeting with the media to answer a wide variety of questions about the 2014 NFL draft, scheduled to be held May 8-10.
