Buffalo Bills fans may not have to wait long to return to Canton. Former Bills general manager Bill Polian’s chances of making the Pro Football Hall of Fame improved greatly for 2015 when it was announced Aug. 6 that the Hall of Fame was adding a contributor category for nomination starting next year.

The New York Giants won Sunday night’s Hall of Fame Game, 17-13, over the Buffalo Bills.

The good news for the Bills is that the Hall of Fame Game is just the first of five preseason games, meaning not only that tonight’s result is meaningless to the regular season, but also that the Bills have four games to improve upon the things that didn’t work well.

“My dad was a construction worker and my mom worked in a factory and I was just a little kid that never combed his hair that loved to play football and play sports.”

Andre Reed never dreamed as a kid that he would make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. An Allentown, Pa. native who played his college football at Kutztown University in Division II, Reed wasn’t supposed to become one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history. But he always strived to make the most of his opportunities.
