With seven players graded in the first round and 11 in the first two rounds, this is one of the best wide receiver classes I have ever scouted. Quality prospects with exciting playmaking potential can be found in each round of the 2014 draft.

Sammy Watkins is the premier talent in the group. He has a bright NFL future ahead of him. His value rivals that of top-tier prospects like AJ Green and Julio Jones, who were both selected in the top six of the 2011 NFL draft.

36 receivers in this year’s class have draftable grades, making this the year for teams to add weapons to their offenses.

Though there is still one remaining day of practice and a game to be played Saturday, most NFL scouts, coaches and executives who attended the 2014 Senior Bowl left Mobile, Ala. after Wednesday, the final day of fully-padded practices of both the North and South teams.

After three days in Mobile, Wednesday night was also time for me to return home, but not without a notebook full of chicken-scratch and observations that left me feeling confident in evaluations of some players and with more questions than ever on others.

There will be no shortage of NFL talent on display when the Texas Longhorns square off with the Oregon Ducks in the Alamo Bowl on Monday (6:45 p.m. ET, ESPN). While Oregon top quarterback prospect Marcus Mariota has announced his intentions to return to Oregon for his junior year, both teams feature a solid array of NFL talent, much of which hails from the great state of Texas, which should only add to the intrigue in San Antonio.

The wide receiver position is generally dominated in the draft by underclassmen, but there are plenty intriguing senior wide receiver prospects in the 2014 NFL draft.

Jordan Matthews is the clear No. 1 player of the group, but there are plenty of other prospects who look like solid No. 2 receivers and potential slot guys.

As with all rankings, these are fluid, and wide receiver is a position where names will continue to emerge as the process goes on, especially once underclassmen begin to declare.

One of the biggest games of the season in the Pac-12 Conference will take place Saturday when the Oregon Ducks travel to Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies in a 4 p.m. afternoon showcase. The No. 2 Oregon Ducks go into the game undefeated and trying to keep their national championship hopes going strong, while the Huskies will be trying to get a big win on the toughest part of their schedule, one week after losing a hard-fought game to Stanford by only three points.

As a result of both teams having a bevy of potential 2014 NFL draft prospects, this week’s game prospect preview is a double feature. Joe Marino is focusing solely on Oregon’s prospects this week, while he has been joined by fellow staff writer and Washington state resident Joseph Curtis, who is taking a closer look at the Huskies’ top prospects this week.

Oregon’s top five prospects are listed on page 1, while six from Washington can be found on page 2.
