The 2015 NFL Scouting Combine came to a close Monday as two groups of defensive backs took the field to show their speed, leaping ability, movement skills and ball skills as they went through a variety of tests and drills on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
As expected, there was some elite-level speed on display as three cornerbacks completed the 40-yard dash in less than 4.4 seconds. Among those speedsters was Michigan State’s Trae Waynes, who ran the fastest 40 time at 4.31 seconds and likely secured his status as the No. 1 cornerback to be drafted in April.
