Put the ball in Marquise Goodwin’s hands and big things can happen. The speedy wide receiver only made receptions in seven Buffalo Bills games as a rookie, but five of those games included a receiving play of more than 20 yards. There are certainly a few defensive backs that tried to cover Goodwin in 2013 who would attest that speed kills.

The Stevie Johnson era is over in Buffalo. The Bills traded Johnson to the San Francisco 49ers on Friday for a 2015 fourth-round pick that can be bumped up to a 3rd.

Buffalo Bills coach Doug Marrone at least publicly stated Friday that he believed his team was still in the playoff hunt, but that became a serious long shot after Buffalo lost to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13. That led to the suggestion from some media members and Bills fans that the team should turn their focus away from making a playoff run, and toward developing its young talent as much as possible in preparation for 2014.

But regardless of what the Bills’ goal was Sunday, it wasn’t accomplished, unless that goal was to tank for better draft position.

Through the first eleven weeks of the season, the Buffalo Bills have made their fair share of big plays. Deciding on just five plays was a difficult task, but some of the “contenders” were eliminated from the list simply due to the fact they occurred in losing efforts.
