As a dedicated Bills fan, I have found myself to be very reflective over the past 13 years.  As the season concluded last year, I wrote down a few thoughts on what I thought would be important steps for the Buffalo Bills to once again become relevant in the NFL.

Let’s take a look at the list, and compare it with the moves that the Bills have made since then. Please feel free to comment on what you had on your wish list, and whether or not the Bills checked those items off!

We are 5 days into Free Agency as I write this article. The Buffalo Bills have been quiet, very quiet! Our only Free Agent signing to date has been former 1st round talent from North Carolina State Manny Lawson. Lawson is an individual who has spent time with both San Francisco as well as with the Cincinnati Bengals. The question in front of me was how do I measure Pettine’s defenses in New York, and how do I show that in a post? (more…)

Buffalo Bills hires are going to sink or swim

In less than a week after the Buffalo Bills hired Doug Marrone to be their head coach, the two most important positions on his staff have been filled. The first news to break was his offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett would join him in Buffalo to resume the same position. Then in less than 24 hours Marrone hired defensive coordinator Mike Pettine formerly of the New Your Jets. Both hires caused pretty stark reactions from Bills fans. (more…)
