The Stevie Johnson era is over in Buffalo. The Bills traded Johnson to the San Francisco 49ers on Friday for a 2015 fourth-round pick that can be bumped up to a 3rd.

This article isn’t about the trade or how Buffalo’s offense will look without him in 2014. No, this is about one of the most underappreciated and overcriticized players in recent memory. The majority of fans were positive about Johnson, but there was a small yet vocal group of people who bashed Johnson whenever they could.

The preseason has wrapped up, the tough decisions have been made, and the 2012 season has finally come into focus. With the front office making cuts down to a 53 men last night, the Bills final roster has been decided on. There were some surprising decisions, and some positions that seem to still be unfinished, but it’s time to take a look at who’ll be suiting up in the Meadowlands week one. (more…)

Other than heat, the Bills haven’t had to deal with too extreme of weather conditions. Today, the second half of practice was made a lot tougher with a pretty nasty downpour that forced me and my iPad to find shelter during the last part of camp. (more…)

The Buffalo Bills’ second night practice took place last evening in front of another sell-out crowd at St. John Fisher College.

The Bills front office would have you believe that the quarterback position is the most secure position on the entire roster. It’s Ryan Fitzpatrick’s job plain and simple. If only that were true, we would all approach Sundays with a little more confidence. Fitzpatrick may well be the clear-cut starter, but he has failed to put the stranglehold on the job that Nix and Gailey so desperately want him to. After battling injuries and inconsistently, Fitzpatrick hasn’t proven he’s more than an average starting quarterback. (more…)
