With a draft class that had been heralded as deep by people both inside and outside the league, we knew all along that there would be talented players to go unselected in the 2014 NFL draft.

Putting together an annual All-Undrafted team can be a challenge some years, as there are typically at least a couple positions where the well of draftable talent had run dry. Not this year. The difficult part of selecting this year’s best undrafted players wasn’t finding players worthy of the recognition, but rather deciding which players to leave off.

The following selections represent the prospects who bring the best skill sets and potential to the next level among the undrafted pool. That doesn’t necessarily mean they have the best chances to make the rosters of the teams who signed team, as some players have entered more favorable depth charts than others, but all of these players have enough ability to build a sustained NFL career.

Bills Make Roster Moves

In the past two days the Bills have made two minor roster moves by releasing UDFA OL Paul Madsen and LB Garrick Williams in favor of WR Derek Session, and CB Isaiah Green. These are interesting moves to us because of how many bodies we already have at both CB and WR but the coaching staff must of seen something liked from Session and Green. One of our more intriguing UDFA acquisitions had to be when we signed Shawn Powell to a contract. As many fans know there was  a period of time where many us could say that our incumbent punter Brian Moorman was our best player. Now those dark days are behind us, hopefully, and it appears that even Moorman’s job isn’t safe from a swift challenge. (more…)

Our next UDFA Profile will take a look at one of the names that seems to have Bills Nation buzzing and that’s Richmond QB Aaron Corp. The former USC transfer down spent the last two season playing for the Richmond Spiders of the Colonial Athletic Association. UDFA Profile: SAF Ian Wild – Mercyhurst

Ian Wild is one of three SAF prospects the Bills signed as UDFA.

Ian Wild is a name that many people probably were wondering just who in the world this guy is when we signed him. Well first off he comes for Division II and played his college ball at Mercyhurst which is the Pennsylvania Sports Athletic Conference (PSAC).  Wild was also a two sport athlete at Mercyhurst playing both football and lacrosse.
